Welcome to Victory Point Productions. This website is where I’ll be hosting my Battletech-related fan projects. You’re likely here for Instant Action or my Map Campaign system, which you can find from the links at the top, along with some Instant Action battle reports.
I create custom Battletech rules content mostly for my own sake. On the other hand, part of what I enjoy most about the game is its "make your own fun" toolbox approach, and after making tools for myself, I may as well share them with the world. A general theme you'll find in my rules content is that I produce content aimed at "pickup play" type games, small engagements of a lance or two on each side that are easy to fit in an evening at the game store. This is the type of game I most enjoy, and it's something of an untapped niche in Battletech - most of the canon content is aimed at more detailed campaigns or elaborate scenarios, which is loads of fun, but can require more setup than some groups want to go through for every game.
My custom Battletech unit is Naginata Battalion. Naginata is a House Kurita unit which exclusively recruits women. Often aligned with the ISF, Naginata Battalion emphasize traditional, mech-focused warfare as preferred by the Combine as a whole. After 3053, their third company is an Omni Company with a permanently assigned Battle Armor company, allowing them to field Clan-style Nova formations. Their color scheme is black with gold details and red recesses.
I would like to give a quick thanks to the people who made my projects possible - my Battletech play groups in Chicago and then Albuquerque, the anonymous people who helped me test my ideas and listend while I brainstormed out loud about them, my friend Raine who tolerated this even though she doesn't care about Battletech, and Doomvega, who helped me make this website.
